"Who manages the Christian Ministries Foundation?"
It operates under a Board of Directors composed of leading Christian men and women, all of whom have outstanding records of stewardship and Christian service. The Directors serve without any compensation, as a personal ministry.

"How effective has the Foundation been?"
The Foundation has gained a distinguished reputation from the high quality of its services both to donors and to various Christian concerns throughout the country. Over 500 ministries and charitable agencies or organizations have received grants or expectancies from CMF, and new ones are added each year. These causes embrace every area of the Christian community, churches, denominations, educational institutions, and other ministries. A partial list of these charitable agencies or organizations is available upon request.

"How will my gift be managed and invested?"
The Foundation relies on expert outside professionals to invest all Foundation funds wisely. Many ministries cannot provide this careful management. When you give through CMF, you know that every effort will be made to enhance the value of your gift in future years, so that it will provide larger and larger support for the ministries and charitable agencies or organizations you support.

"What is the cost of using the Foundation's services?"
In most cases the Foundation makes no charge to cover its own operating expenses. Minimal fees are charged for the professional investment and management of your gifts. The typical fee is only one percent of the annual market value when a trust is involved and this amount is deducted from the income earned by your fund. There are other setup fees and funding fees that are a one-time fee, depending upon the size of the gift.

"What personal financial benefits do I gain by giving through CMF?"
You can receive financial benefits of two types: First, your gift will qualify for the largest tax deduction possible under federal laws. Second, on certain types of gifts, you can even receive a personal income for life from your gift. This is accomplished through a "charitable remainder trust" or a "gift annuity".

"Can the Foundation help me make my charitable gifts through my will?"
Yes. You can simply provide in your will that part of your estate that is to go to the Foundation. You can also include guidelines on how you want to use the income and/or principle of your gift to be used in future years. We are delighted to work with you and your advisors in shaping the most effective gift through your will or other estate plans.

"I'm considering a gift through the Foundation. What is the next step?"
Simply contact Betty Thompson, Executive Director, at the phone number or address below. Your inquiry creates no obligation on your part and we are happy to answer your questions.

If you prefer, you can ask your financial or legal advisor to contact the Foundation. Our professionals have a long history of working effectively with such advisors and will be glad to visit with them.
